Maximize Your Sales and Marketing in 2016

Here we are, already in mid-December, getting ready to close out 2015. In addition to all the holiday preparations and celebrations, many of our Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning business clients are also focused on how to make 2016 their best year ever.  With this in mind, we wanted to share some strategies to maximize your sales and marketing in 2016, since these two areas form the foundation of your business:

Become more educated than you ever have been. Ensuring that you are up on the latest and greatest sales and marketing tactics will give you a very real competitive edge. Understanding what is working and what isn’t (in our industry, specifically) will help massively cut your learning curve and avoid wasting money on trying a bunch of “stuff.”

Build a plan. What’s your strategy for growing a well-trained, effective team that sticks to your sales system? Do you have a precise marketing and promotional calendar laid out for 2016? Planning for success and developing specific goals is absolutely crucial to the advancement of your company.

Stick to that plan. Be sure to include ways to hold everyone involved accountable to their roles and benchmarks. Get everyone on the same page, working toward the same goals; this is how you build a strong team.

Design your sales and marketing strategies around the before, during, and after units. When you truly understand the relationship between all three units, you can really start to maximize the effectiveness and interconnectedness of your sales and marketing.

Place yourself around progressive like-minded people. This might not seem like a sales and marketing strategy, but it is. The great energy and information you will derive from fellow business owners and thought leaders is priceless. Sometimes you just need to get out of the daily operations, gain some perspective, and get some fresh ideas to gain some focused excitement around sales and marketing.
