Facebook ads are a great way for HVAC businesses to find new customers and reach existing ones. But they can be overwhelming and expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing. Here are 5 HVAC Facebook ads strategies that can help you close sales within your business.

1. Share content that helps customers in some small way in your Facebook ads.

Instead of selling to customers immediately, warm them up first by giving away valuable information. Are their important tips homeowners should know? Create videos with tips and guides that will help potential customers. You can even have them put in an email address to download a guide. This is called a lead magnet. A lead magnet is when you give away something in exchange for an email address or sometimes a phone number.

2. Retarget current customers.

Repeat customers make up a large percentage of your revenue. According to Small Biz Trends, “80 percent of your future profits will come from 20 percent of your customers.” It’s important to install a Facebook Pixel on your website so that anyone who comes to your website can be reached again. Facebook collects this data so that you can serve ads to your website visitors. You can also upload customer email lists to Facebook to reach them through ads.

3. Create a funnel.

A Facebook ads funnel has a top of the funnel, middle of the funnel, and bottom of the funnel. A funnel is a term coined by marketers because you are guiding potential customers into becoming loyal customers. The top of the funnel should include important tips and information that is free of charge. At the top of the funnel, you are giving away lead magnets like guides or sharing value videos to warm up your audience. At the middle of the funnel you are nurturing relationships with potential customers by continuing to expose them to videos with your helpful advice. The bottom of the funnel is where you try to convince your warm audience to buy. Include strong calls-to-action and testimonials.

4. Use positive reviews and testimonials.

Your credibility is everything. Positive customer reviews and testimonials will set you apart from other HVAC businesses. Be sure to go above and beyond in your service so that you can have a happy customer record a short video review of your business. In addition, you can use positive Google reviews. Sometimes a good review is all someone needs to make their final decision.

5. Respond immediately.

Facebook leads can be powerful but they go cold quickly. You should be following up with a person immediately. When someone fills out a form with their information you should have systems in place to contact them within a couple of hours otherwise they are likely to forget they filled out the form or they just won’t buy. You can also use a calendar scheduler to send the customer straight to your office or call center. Just be sure there are enough people manning the phones to accommodate.

If all of this sounds like a foreign language to you, that’s okay. Sometimes you need to reach out to a professional for help or have someone in your industry help you. It’s important to realize however, that running a successful business hinges on a lot more than just running HVAC Facebook ads. Is your team trained to provide exceptional service? Is your call center trained to convert sales?
